## Book details

Antoine est né au début des années 1950 dans une famille de paysans de Corrèze. Destiné comme tous les siens aux travaux des champs, il passe toutefois sa vie dans les livres et aspire à d autres horizons. Sa mère réussit à convaincre son père : il ira au lycée, tandis que son frère, François, prendra la relève à la ferme. Après quelques mois d adaptation difficile, Antoine devient professeur et fonde un foyer avec Mathilde à Paris. Dans l enseignement comme partout, les choses ont changé. Au début des années 1980, tout s accélère : d autres temps s imposent, d autres crises, un autre monde en mutation auquel s acclimate parfaitement la génération de leurs enfants.Des années 1950 à nos jours, Christian Signol reflète une société et saisit l âme d un monde jadis rural dans ce nouveau roman qui embrasse trois générations unies par des racines communes.Chacun se sent proche de ces destins rythmés par la grande histoire.
